Conditional offers
Applicants holding a conditional offer who subsequently fail to meet the conditions of their offer to obtain an unconditional offer - shall be refunded (unless they obtain an unconditional offer for another course).
The refund will be subject to a £100 administration fee.
Unconditional offers: students requiring a Student Visa
Before Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) assigned
If the university is unable to issue a CAS then the deposit will be refunded. If an option to defer is offered we will hold the deposit to use for following year’s course of study. Any refund will be subject to a £100 fee to cover the university’s administration and processing costs.
After CAS assigned and before application for visa (or application for visa is withdrawn before being decided)
The university will grant a refund where extenuating personal circumstances justify not taking up offer – please contact us if you are seeking a refund and outline details of your extenuating circumstances. A member of the international team will then contact you directly to request documentation. If there is the option to defer the student's place, the university will hold the deposit to use for the following year’s course of study. Any refund will be subject to a £1,500 fee to cover the university’s administration and processing costs.

After CAS assigned and Student visa refused
Refusals on the grounds of credibility will only be eligible for a deposit refund if the refusal is subsequently overturned as incorrect through a successful UKVI Administrative Review. The International Student Advice and Support team will be able to advise a student on submitting an Administrative Review if it appears that the refusal is incorrect. In exceptional cases where an Administrative Review is unsuccessful, deposit refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis following a review by the International Student Advice and Support team and Visa Compliance team. Student must provide clear and complete copy of the UKVI Refusal Notice which can be considered on the advice of ͯÑÕÊÓƵ immigration advisers and ͯÑÕÊÓƵ Visa Compliance team. Any refund will be subject to a £1,500 fee to cover the university’s administration and processing costs.
Applicants are required to contact the International Student Advice and Support team if they are called for a credibility interview as part of the visa application process and the team will advise the applicant on whether they should pursue the application.
Where an applicant has deferred their offer to the next intake for the course and they qualify for a refund for one of the reasons above, their refund will be retained for the purpose of the deferred admission rather than refunded before the applicant will need to pay the deposit again.
After CAS assigned – visa application delay

Any refund will be subject to a £3,000 fee to cover the university’s administration and processing costs.
