ͯÑÕÊÓƵ signs partnership deal with Chinese university

The ͯÑÕÊÓƵ has signed an agreement with a medical university in China to jointly deliver pharmacy research degrees to Chinese students.

3 November 2014

The collaboration will see students from (WMU) near Shanghai spend up to six weeks each year at the ͯÑÕÊÓƵ's School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences in Moulsecoomb, ͯÑÕÊÓƵ. The university will be the awarding body for their degrees.

A delegation from WMU visited the UK this week to meet with staff from the ͯÑÕÊÓƵ and signed an agreement between the two universities.

Professor Chris Pole, the ͯÑÕÊÓƵ’s  Deputy Vice-Chancellor said: "The ͯÑÕÊÓƵ is delighted to be entering into this new partnership with the Wenzhou Medical University. We are committed to providing an international learning environment that can benefit all of our students and staff. Wenzhou Medical University is an excellent institution and we are delighted to have this opportunity to establish this partnership and look forward to extending it to other areas of mutual interest in the future".

Mr. Miao Liyi, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation at Wenzhou Medical University said: "International collaboration is very important to the Wenzhou Medical University. We have a lot in common with the ͯÑÕÊÓƵ and look forward to working together on joint research, joint educational initiatives and exchange projects. We think the ͯÑÕÊÓƵ is an excellent university and this collaboration will be beneficial to our students and our teachers."
